Thanks for the offer Flavio I ended up contacting someone I found on this thread who has it working and he told me how to solve the problem.

In the home.php you have the following code:

……

By default this is repeated 6 times up to category=6

I had created a few categories that weren’t being used so I guess I had more than 6 so I copied everything between ……

Pasted below the last category and changed the number to category=7 (there are 2 places where you need to change the number. I repeated this for for category=8 category=9 etc.

Hi, trying to make a site using your amazing theme, but like some people above I seem to be having problems with categories. If you look at my site http://www.friendsrate.com you can see I have 3 categories that work and I added a few more that aren’t showing. (you can see the tag books in the tag cloud leads you to the category books which doesn’t show in the main page)

Any ideas?

I just have one question:
contrary to what we can see on this website http://www.epicwebstrategies.com/11-free-magazine-style-wordpress-themes/ we cannot managed to have pics on our first page… What can you do ?

It should work on IE8 but, as with everything related to Microsoft, who can really tell what works and what doesn’t? I am reasonably certain that it works fine under IE9, which should mean that your friends will all see things correctly once Microsoft forces one of it’s never ending fixes and updates at them.

Hey all!

Fantastic theme… I love it!

However, I just noticed my site ( Oxstones.com ) displays poorly on IE8. It’s perfect on Firefox.

Any ideas on how I can fix this? What could I be doing wrong?

The header is very small on IE8, a small arrow appears for some reason, and on some IE8 installs of my friends… the top row of content and the pages link list overlaps the top categories.

But how did you setup the second row of categories? i.e. on http://www.creative-crossing.com/

I’m trying to modify home.php.

It seems I can only do 5 categories per row, with a sidebar. That’s ok.

I want 2 rows with 5 categories (columns).

I appreciate the help!

Hi!
Love the theme, and I’ve implemented it on my site!

But I jsut came across a problem. I’m creating test categories with test posts, so see how the my page will look like when all the categories are there on the home page with latest posts under them. I had only 2 categories for now. What happened was that I created the 3rd category, and put a post in that, and it appeard on the main home page. But when I created the 4th and the 5th, nothing appeared. I named those categories FEATURED and DEVELOPMENT, and even renamed them to see if it was the name. I deleted them and created them again, this time hoping it will fix it…but still the same. any suggestions?
