Here is her review:

Hi Sarah! Since you just posted the Hermes Togo Clutch I thought I’d send in pics of my Hermes CDC reps I got from ebay. I bought these awhile ago from a seller in China and they costs around $20 which includes free shipping. You can’t beat that, but shipping from China is slow & took about 3 weeks to arrive in the USA. Just do a search for “Collier de chien” minus Hermes & you’ll get a lot of results for around that price point; they all look like they’re made in the same factory & same quality.

The hardware is actually kind of heavy & substantial, & because there’s a lot of hardware, it’s a heavy piece. When I close it, it’s firmly in place and has never come loose while on my wrist all day. If you look VERY closely you can see it’s a coated metal & there are no breaks where the spikes meet with the flat piece. There’s been no tarnishing or rubbing off of color at all & I’ve worn these quite a bit.

My only complaint is that the circular ring is not thick enough compared to the original one & it shows a gap, so it’s not fused together. To me, the gap is noticable & because the ring is thin, it’s really loose & clangs around a lot and can get noisy. When it’s clangs around you can hear that it’s a cheap metal. That’s annoying to me but it was only $20 & it still looks good from afar.

There’s also a slight gap between the rounded metal part with ring & leather, when worn, but the real one has the same thing as well. I did fool one of my gay friends who works in a big dept store so he seen the real thing & he thought mine was real when he grabbed by wrist to inspect it. Of course it was in a dark nightclub and he was possibly drunk so that doesn’t mean much, lol.

Overall, the value is good & it’s a fun accessory since spikes are trending hard right now. Most people wouldn’t know what brand it is or are familiar with the real one to know all the small details so I feel comfortable wearing it in most situations. I would not go into a very high end store with it though…
