American academy has devolved into a pyramid scheme, a debtor's prison and a mail order fraud. Most professors are adjuncts, making poverty wages (some less than minimum wages), while administrations have become bloated beyond all reason. These grossly overpaid administrators have further bloated college budgets with their schemes and scams and all of it paid for with student debt. What does a college really need to function? Students, teachers and books. Three things college administrators could give a damn about. First, we need to add student debt back to the bankruptcy process. Second, we need student debt relief for those whose income doesn't justify paying back the loans. Third, we need to gut university administrations thoroughly. Go to a college in Europe, where the education is free. You'll see only a few administrators. Why? Because nobody needs them. Most of them are there to advance the agendas of their fellow administrators and those who dominate educational decision. We are not here to encourage students to buy thesis papers because of high tuition fees. Gutting the place of worthless administrators means the funding can go to education, not administrative bloat. We won't just save money on the salaries, we'll save billions by eliminating their wasteful decisions.
